he who began a good work in you verse
6 And I am sure of this that he who began h a good work in you i will bring it to completion at j the day of Jesus Christ. 3 I thank my God every time I remember you.

In this verse the verb overcome is in a perfect tense meaning it speaks of a past finished victory and a present state of being an overcomer. 7 It is right for me to feel this way about you all because I hold you.
